| Season's Greetings! Thank you for the great response to the first edition of the newsletter, and thank-you, too, to all of you who contributed a favorite restaurant for the Lunch Bag. I look forward to eating my way through the list. It's a selfless act on my part, to make sure the quality is as reported. Really. :-) New in this issue - Ask a Question and Win! If you have a question you'd like to have answered in the Tech Tip section, please send it in. Everyone who sends in a question will be entered in a draw for "Tech Tips for Non-Techies". The next draw date is at the end of this month, so hope to hear from you soon. Best wishes of the season to all! Diane Henders |

| Tech Tip: Save Your Eyes Set your CRT monitor's refresh frequency above 70 Hertz. Under 70 Hertz, the flickering of the monitor is noticeable to most human eyes (if you're not sure, turn your head and look at the outside edge of your monitor - you'll notice the flickering out of the corner of your eye). Right-click on the desktop, select Properties, then click on the Settings tab. Click the Advanced button, then set the frequency on the Monitor tab. Ask a Question and Win Do you have tech questions? Every time you send in a question, your name will be entered to win a free copy of "Tech Tips for Non-Techies". The next draw is December 31/06. |
