| Greetings... After a year of evolution in this newsletter, we'd like to ask you how we've done. We're looking forward to giving you more of what you want, and (hopefully) less of what you don't want! So in this issue, you'll find a bunch of voting buttons. We'd really appreciate any feedback you give us. And if you've got a compliment or a pet peeve about our newsletter, please feel free to add comments when you vote. Thank you in advance for helping us improve - we look forward to your responses! Diane Henders |

Save Pictures from Websites To save a picture from a web page, right-click on the picture, and, if you get a pop-up menu, select Save Picture As. Browse to the location where you want to save the picture, type a name for it, and click Save. If you don't get a pop-up menu, or if you want to save a picture of the application you're working in, hold down the right-hand Alt and Ctrl keys on your keyboard, then press the Print Screen button. This saves a copy of what is visible on your screen into your Windows® clipboard (the same as a Copy command). Open a graphics or word-processing program, and hold down the Ctrl key while you press V (or click the Edit menu and select Paste). The image of your window will be pasted into your program. You can then crop the image as needed. Do you usually read the Tech Tips section? Vote: |

Blog, FaceBook, YouTube - What Language Is This, Anyway? It's a whole new world out there! Remember the first time someone told you they were going to "Google" something, and you weren't sure whether to laugh or be embarrassed? There are so many new words related to the Internet, it's no surprise that it seems like an entirely different language. Most of the new terms refer to websites or file types, so here's a short primer to get you up to speed: Read the complete article Looking for more articles? Please visit our article directory. Lunch Bag![]() |
We're always looking for great little places to have lunch or coffee! Here's
my pick for this month: Spiros on 17th - 1902 - 33 St. S.W. - (403) 685-4444 Yes, there is actually good restaurant service still remaining in Calgary - you just have to know where to look. Spiros has a long history, excellent food, and smiling service - how can you lose? Although all the traditional Greek food on the menu sounds delicious, I can never resist the calamari with tzatziki, Greek salad, and of course, moussaka. Opa! Submit a Recommendation and Win What's your favourite haunt? Every time you send in a recommendation, your name will be entered in the next draw to win cool toys!
