Now that many of us are trying to synchronize Palm and Blackberry devices and other smartphones, the question arises: What software should I use? Many of the devices come with their own software system, and also link to Microsoft Outlook®, Act®, or other programs. If you're just getting started and you don't already use a program for your email and contacts, Microsoft Outlook® (part of Microsoft Office®) is the safest choice. Don't confuse Outlook® with Outlook Express®, Windows Mail®, or Windows Contacts® - they look similar, but they don't do the same things. Since Outlook® has been around for so long, almost all handheld devices will link easily to it. |
