When you enter the Bright Ideas Zone, get ready to drop the corporate shell, leave hang-ups at the door, play and connect like a kid again - and build your business! The Bright Ideas Zone is dedicated to giving you

• new perspectives on your business
• advice on your challenges, and
• opportunities to make new contacts
• a chance to relax and play with fun, generous, smart, creative people (like you!)

At each event, you'll get:

• 2 informal networking sessions
• 3 structured networking sessions
• A brainstorming session for your "elevator speech"
• A Play and Create session
• A chance to brainstorm on one of your challenges with the entire group
• An optional listing of your business contact information on the Hit Parade - distributed to all attendees
• Snacks and toys!

One-Minute Introductions

Here's your chance to network without feeling sleazy - you'll get to meet others and learn about their businesses while you inform them about yours. You'll take turns sharing the spotlight with a small (non-threatening) group, while each person introduces themselves and/or their business for one full minute (it's longer than you think!).

Team Intro's

What better way to focus on how you present yourself or your business than to listen to someone else do it? With Team Intro's, you give your one-minute intro to a partner, and they introduce you to the rest of the group. Did your partner "get" what you're about? Here's a safe opportunity to test your "elevator speech"... and then improve it in the brainstorming session.

Brainstorming the Elevator Speech

Two heads are better than one! What do people hear when you introduce yourself? Are you presenting all the information they need to know/like/do business with you? What's missing? What's working? You'll partner up and brainstorm for 15 minutes to tune up your elevator speech.

Play and Create

At each event, you'll get a surprise! New toys, new ideas, new perspectives - you'll never know until you arrive! Just come ready to contribute... and reap the rewards. Oh, and wear comfortable shoes - you might be having too much fun to sit down!

The Star Jar

At each event, you can drop your business card in the Star Jar to get a chance to be the "Star" of the evening. The Star gets to present one business or personal challenge to the group, and get "15 Minutes of Fame" while the entire group concentrates on brainstorming solutions to your challenge. It's like a big Mastermind - focused on you!

The Hit Parade

At each event, you can decide if you want your business and contact information to be included on the Hit Parade. After the event, the Hit Parade gets emailed out to all the participants, so they know how to contact you - even if you didn't meet them personally. Free advertising for your business - how about that?

Here's what to bring:

Lots of business cards

• Your one-minute introduction (or "elevator speech"), if you have one
• An open, curious mind
• Willingness to share ideas to help others
• A big smile
• A taste for fun
• A business or personal challenge that you want to work on if you enter the Star Jar. Present your challenge to the group like this: "I'm looking for ideas on how to..."
